[US/CA] 30% off UCS Republic Gunship and Razor Crest on LEGO.com
Posted by CapnRex101,
The sale on LEGO.com has expanded to include two Ultimate Collector Series sets in the US and Canada: 75309 Republic Gunship and 75331 The Razor Crest.
These sets are discounted by 30%, so this would be an excellent time to buy, if you were thinking about adding them to your collection. Moreover, double Insiders points remains in effect.

They're on sale in Canada too.
What a pleasant surprise was planning on heading to me local Lego store this morning

Thank you. I did check Canada but clearly did not scroll down far enough!
In the morning in Europe (at least in Hungary) 75342 Republic Fighter Tank and 75300 TIE Fighter were 30% off. I was lucky enough to pick 1 figter tank 'cause I was browsing on LEGO.com. Now, both are out of stock. (Sorry, temporary unavailable.)
That’s an impressive discount on two great sets. I hope Lego’s need to discount those does not deter them from developing non original trilogy sets in the future.
We've got the still not selling 76215 on sale
75969 on sale is nice but I allready have it:(
Just placed and order. Thanks for the tip!
Those are great prices, but sadly still too rich for my blood.
But I am a fan of seeing all these sales for once.
URGH! I still have mine, unopened as I am building a real house, no time to build LEGO, and to see them discounted, now, makes me sick!!!
UCS typically rarely get discounted:
A) LEGO is hurting due to price gouging!
B) Economy is horrible!
C) These items weren’t overly popular?
D) All of the above…

D is the correct answer
Shocked to see not one but two UCS sets on discount. Too many hyper-expensive SW models available, maybe? Though I’d be more inclined to assume that the subject matter just isn’t as popular as other SW ships.
Razor Crest probably would have sold better if it hadn’t come out after the ship got blowed up real good. MANDO S1 and S2 seem like a long time ago at this point, and the hype isn’t quite where it was two-three years ago.
And PT material is more popular with younger fans, who don’t have as much free cash as older folks.
Don't forget double points are still available.
That UCS Captain America shield is also on sale at Amazon.
Starting to wonder if maybe these things shouldn’t be so big.
I just bought Razor Crest at full price a few days ago :(

Contact Lego customer service, they probably won't refund the difference, but they might offer something like extra VIP Points.
They wouldn't have had to discount a UCS TIE Bomber...
Thanks for the Post saved a bundle just bought the razor crest save me over 200 bucks from where I was going to buy it you guys are the best
Was never planning on getting the razor crest at MSRP so I just bought the Mos Eisley Cantina a few days ago. Would have bought the Razor Crest at this price though.
The gunship would be more tempting with more appealing figures, like the razor crest

A) Lego gives you 90 days to return a product. Assuming you did not open it yet - return it. then buy it back - for 30% off (about CAD$260) - it is definitely worth the hassle.
OR
B) Call Lego, hope to get a good representative (most are) explain the situation and tell him/her that you are about to return the product if you don't get an equivalent rebate (that way both you and Lego save the shipping charges, material handling etc). If you get a bad rep revert to option A.
Usually stores with price policy will automatically honour this (most large chains in Canada have that price policy) I am not quite sure if Lego has such a policy in place - they should - avoid a lot of unnecessary transactions and handling. At least they do have 90 day buyer's remorse which you can use to achieve the same result.
Best,
Gunship sold out in us.
I hope there will be some discount on retiring products during black friday deal.

Which basically means in NA. Canadian Lego sets also come from Enfield, Connecticut.
EDIT: Well, it is still available in Mexico. So not quite NA but just USA and Canada.
Dang it. Missed the Republic Gunship. Sold out
Nice! Still out of my league, but very nice to see real discounts on great sets! Maybe if they hadn't blown up the poor thing just when people were beginning to get attached to it, it might be more popular...

I think there's just too many very large (very expensive) sets. Right now there are six sets at $399.99 or more- just in the Star Wars theme.
Ugh….I should have held off on the Razor Crest (it was my big May the 4th purchase this year).
Waiting for discounts on UCS sets is a total crapshoot though. It seems to be either no discounts on a set ever, or it hits a steep discount like this.
Aaaannnndddd.......the Gunship is Sold Out. I hope everyone got it that wanted it. I was lucky and did. :)
I thought the Tumbler & Razor Crest were unattainable to me. In one week they both got amazing discounts, crazy. I wonder how bad it really is out there for companies.. now I'm starting to get a bit worried.??
No OT, no sell.

I think TLG will be okay. Even at 30% off, I'm sure they're still making a profit.

You played it just fine, there's no way to know. I had a similar experience with 10497 when it went on sale for 50% off at Walmart not long after I got it. Of course I took that to be a cue to buy a second copy... but we all deal with these things in our own way.

I worded that wrong, I'm worried about us lol
The Razor Crest is a masterclass in modern building techniques. Incredible to think this is a set rather than a fan model. How far have we come!
In Portugal both sets remain at normal price... no sale here... :-(
sigh so annoyed. Last week I finally decided to get it and bought it on best buy 10% off (membership) with a gift card and would get $50 credit for spending $500. that night i saw amazon had it on sale 20% off. tried to get a price match but their customer service was closed by then, so I ordered on amazon and cancelled the best buy order. then i saw it on sale at lego for 30% off! (+2x points AND gift w purchase!) so I ordered from lego. am now waiting for it to arrive to then return the amazon one
I snoozed.
I loozed.
Being sick sucks.
They all get discounted in the end.
Where exactly is that these 2 sets are %30 off because that's not what I see when I got LEGOs website and to each of these 2 sets; I see full price.
